"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person,” the statement states.

Brown also took time to dunk and diffuse much of the speculation that his occurred in the media and the blogs.

"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."

The statement never refers to Rihanna directly.

Brown’s father recently stated that his son was concerned for Rihanna’s well-being.

Clinton Brown, his father, said, "He's reflecting on this situation. He's very remorseful. He's very concerned about the situation he wants to make sure that (Rihanna is) okay."

The younger Brown was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and released on $50,000 bail. He is expected to appear in court on March 5.

R&B singer Keisha Chante, who is reportedly set to play Aaliyah in a forthcoming biopic, is not the "other woman" ! Click Here For More...

Chante, a Juno Award winning Canadian based singer, had been rumored to have been connected to now embattled R&B singer Chris Brown.

Contrary to those reports, which also mentioned Leona Lewis, Chante's manager says Keisha Chante has been nowhere near the singer.

"This is another unsubstantiated, untrue report. She was nowhere near the incident in any way."

"I think they met a few years back, probably three or four years ago in Canada... but that's it."

Rumors had placed the singer as the source of the much-talked-about text message that started Brown and Rihanna's fight over the weekend.

Chante's manager, Mona Scott, says its just another false report.

"There's been a continuous kind of reporting of them linked together and this has been the worst of it all."

In related news, Leona Lewis' team is also backing away from the Brown situation and rumors that she and the "Forever" singer were getting close at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party.

In a statement released Thursday, Lewis' spokesperson says:

"Leona was at the pre-Grammy party with her family and boyfriend and had nothing whatsoever to do with any argument that may have ensued between Chris and Rihanna. Any allegations that the pair had flirted are completely false."

More Rihanna & Chris Brown

Thursday, February 12, 2009 | | 0 comments »

After all that recently went down, Rihanna's friends are now coming out saying Chris Brown has been abusive before. Damn! Also, Rihanna's confession to the police are true: Click Here For More...

Chris Brown and Rihanna seemed like the perfect couple on the outside, but after his recent arrest for felony battery, we’ve learned that it wasn’t the first time Chris raised a hand on her.

According to Police reports, Rihanna claims that Chris has hit her in the past and she referred to it as an ongoing and escalating abusive relationship.

When Rihanna first spoke to LAPD she refused to tell them what started the argument that night. We’ve now learned that it was the result of another woman sending Chris a text message about meeting up later on in the night.

During the argument, according to the police report, she ordered him to drive her home and “faked a call” to someone, saying things like, “He’s dropping me off. Make sure the cops are there,” reports TMZ. This enraged Chris.

He then said something to the effect of “You are really fu**ed up now. I’m going to kill you.” That’s when Chris allegedly began his violent attack with his fists.

At some point during the attack Rihanna took the car keys out of the ignition and threw them outside. He reportedly went outside to look for them, and returned back to the car and allegedly choked her. That’s when she lost consciousness and a witness called 911.

Based on Rihanna’s statement and her injuries Chris will definitely face a felony domestic battery charge, but it’s unclear at this time whether or not that’s the only charge he’ll get because evidence that he made criminal threats against Rihanna is kind of thin.

Chris Brown has taken another hit in the wake of his reported attack on girlfriend Rihanna on Sunday - the singer's former stepdad has confessed the damning story does not surprise him. Click Here For More...

Brown attacked his mother's ex in a magazine article in 2007, claiming he was a terrifying force within the family. Brown told Giant magazine, "He used to hit my mom... He made me terrified all the time, terrified like I had to pee on myself. I remember one night he made her nose bleed. I was crying and thinking, 'I'm just gonna go crazy on him one day...'"

And now Donnelle Hawkins is having his say after Brown was charged with making criminal threats following his Sunday morning fight with Rihanna. Asked what he thought about reports his former stepson had attacked his girlfriend, Hawkins tells Usmagazine.com, "I wouldn't be surprised," adding, "He has to take responsibility for his own actions." And Hawkins is using the interest to dismiss reports he abused Brown's mother.

He adds, "There was a lot of arguing between his mom and I (but) I never raised a hand at his mom. I spanked Chris one time. I became the bad guy. Chris was really mad at his mom for leaving his dad, so I became the scapegoat. No matter how much I tried to be a father figure, nothing worked."

R&B/Pop singer Rihanna is said to be in full cooperation with the Los Angeles Police Department today, while her boyfriend/R&B star Chris Brown is being removed from planned events and radio stations. Click Here For More...

According to investigators, Rihanna has been cooperative in providing information surrounding the alleged altercation and battery incident with R&B singer Chris Brown over the weekend.

Early Tuesday morning, published reports claimed that photos of Rihanna's injuries sustained after a post-Grammy party were "horrific". It was however, news that a witness, who allegedly heard Rihanna screaming, became today's most troubling update in the ongoing investigation.

Sources say, contrary to earlier reports, that Rihanna did not call the authorities after sustaining injuries including a bloody nose and reported 'contusions'.

Entertainment source TMZ, has learned that the Rihanna singer refused treatment at the scene but later checked in to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

TMZ along with the LA Times, revealed Rihanna's name as the victim Monday even though it is normal practice to protect the identity of the victim in a domestic violence related case. The LA Times says it broke its policy due to the high profile nature of the case.

In related news, Rihanna has canceled the controversial Malaysian concert that made headlines earlier this year due to this weekend's unfortunate incident.

The much-talked-about concert had been marred with protest threats and opposition due to Rihanna's normal concert attire which offended local residents.

Chris Brown, who has been charged with making "criminal threats," has canceled his weekend gig at the NBA All Star Game.

Brown was due to play during a celebrity game and co-host festivities with NBA star Shaquille O'Neal.

The most troubling news for Brown today comes not from investigators or even endorsement deals, as the singer's record have been pulled from radio !

According to Cleveland area radio station 96.5, listeners called Monday night demanding that Brown's records be pulled.

KISS 96.5 host Java Joel says people were outraged that the station continued to support Brown after the allegations hit the news.

"It's all that people wanted to talk about. They were outraged at this alleged behavior and wondered why we were continuing to support his music. I agreed and immediately pulled all Chris Brown songs from my show until this thing shakes out in the legal system," says Joel.

According to Cleveland's Plain Dealer, station director Bo Matthews pulled Brown's music off their playlists entirely Tuesday, stating:

"It appears that Chris has made some poor choices, we are following the lead of our listeners, and we will not be supporting Chris Brown on 96.5 Kiss FM in Cleveland until the alleged situation gets resolved."

R&B singer Chris Brown was released late Sunday evening after surrendering to Los Angeles Police Department officials. Click Here For More...

As previously reported, Brown, who was due to perform at Sunday's Grammy Awards, had been involved in an early morning domestic situation that resulted in a felony battery charge.

"He turned himself in around 7 p.m. to one of our stations," officer Karen Smith told PEOPLE late Sunday.

According to our sources, Brown had been released by 9:30pm PT on $50,000 bail after being charged with making criminal threats. The District Attorney's office is currently evaluating other charges.

Both Brown and Rihanna were no shows at Sunday's Grammys where they were nominated.

Rihanna had been scheduled to perform the hit single "Disturbia" at the Grammys, but canceled just before the show, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences said in a statement.
"We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight's 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We're sorry she is unable to join us," the academy said. There was no further explanation for her absence.

Both cancellations created what is rumored to be at least a 10-15 minute gap for Grammy organizers who quickly scrambled to fill the performance slots.

Boyz II Men, Al Green, Keith Urban and Justin Timberlake were among those who filled in the gap, unbeknownst to viewers and much of the audience in attendance.

News of Chris Brown's situation originally broke Sunday afternoon (ET).

[Update: 1:22am ET] - Chris Brown has been released and reportedly has a March 5th court date.

- The Los Angeles Times also claims that Chris Brown was "booked tonight on suspicion of making felony criminal threats in connection with an incident involving his girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna, according to Los Angeles Police Department sources familiar with the case."

R&B singer Charlie Wilson has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Click Here For More...

Currently undergoing treatment, Wilson says "While I was surprised to discover that this disease strikes one out of every six American men, I was astounded to learn that African American men are 1.6 times more likely than others to be diagnosed with prostate cancer. My wife, Mahin, and I are very fortunate. I was lucky to be diagnosed and begin treatment early. My prognosis is excellent."

Wilson, who is set to release his long anticipated album "Uncle Charlie" February 17th, was diagnosed in September.

"When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September, I thought to myself ‘I’m too young… this isn’t a cancer I should be getting."

Taking his diagnosis as an opportunity to inform others, Wilson has partnered with the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

According to PCF, Wilson will raise funds to support prostate cancer research, specifically by supporting a PCF Creativity Research Grant. These grants support creative research ideas with high potential and no current funding. They encourage the development of high-risk/high-reward concepts that, if successful, could provide the basis for dramatically reducing death and suffering from prostate cancer. They are intended to bridge the gap between an idea and the results necessary to justify increased funding. Michael Jackson And Now Rihanna

Tuesday, February 03, 2009 | | 0 comments »

Manu Dibango has filed suit against Michael Jackson and Rihanna, accusing the pair of stealing a hook from one of his songs. The 75-year-old singer, who hails from the Republic of Cameroon, claims his 1972 song Soul Makossa was used by Jackson for his hit track Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', from his 1982 album Thriller. Jackson had reportedly reached a financial settlement with Dibango after accepting he used parts of the song, reports the Associated Press.

But the issue was revisited when pop singer Rihanna obtained Jackson's permission to use the melody on her Grammy-nominated single Please Don't Stop the Music - but failed to contact Dibango too.

According to court documents filed in Paris, France on Tuesday (03Feb09), Dibango is seeking $650,330 (500,000 Euros/£464,520) in damages.

His lawyers have also asked the courts to block record labels Sony BMG, EMI and Warner from receiving any income from the songs until courts settle the issue.

French judges will decide on 17 February (09) if Dibango's case will be heard.

Round Two:

NOTORIOUS B.I.G.'s mother has lambasted the late star's mistress LIL' KIM - after the female MC reportedly branded the actress chosen to play her in biopic NOTORIOUS "too dark". The rapper - real name Kimberly Jones - ignited a war of words with the slain hip hop legend's mother Voletta Wallace, and his widow, Faith Evans, insisting the pair helped producers of the big screen venture portray her in a negative light. Click Here For More...

According to insider reports, Kim blasted the film's director George Tillman Jr.'s decision to cast singer-turned-actress Naturi Naughton as the pint-sized hitmaker - allegedly demanding the filmaker to choose an Asian or Hispanic actress to play her in the film.

And Wallace has backed-up the reports, stating she was disgusted after Kim branded herself a "white woman in a black woman's body".

She tells Hip Hop Weekly, "She felt the character we chose for her was too dark.

"Do you know why the character was too dark for her? Because she's a white woman trapped in a black woman's body, and you can tell the world I said it, because those are Lil' Kim's words. She should be ashamed of herself."

She adds, "Tell Lil Kim to go find herself, go drink a cup of green tea and get a life! This movie is not about Lil Kim.

"She felt we used her character to promote (the project, but) this movie is about my son... Lil' Kim needs to go sit down."
