The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) filed the class action suit against Coca-Cola (who owns Vitaminwater), saying the company misleads consumers using “buzzwords” in their marketing campaign such as “defense,” “rescue,” “energy” and “endurance.”CSPI leader Steven Gardner says “It is really shocking that a company like Coca-Cola feels the need to market a soft drink as a vitamin pill to hid the fact it is really sugar water.” Coke says the lawsuit is a publicity stunt and its consumers can see what the drink is made of on the side panel of every bottle. 50 Cent is featured in ads forVitaminwater where is reading the Wall Street Journal and retrieves the mail at his Connecticut home, records in his studio and works out in a gym, promoting the drink as part of his daily routine. Another ad shows 50 Cent and DJWhoo Kid taking over a orchestra. 50 purchased a share of the company in 2004 and made a fortune after Coca-Cola bought it in 2007 for $4.1billon dollars. 50 Cent owned 10% f the business and made around $400 million from the buy-out.
