An artist formerly signed to SEAN COMBS' record label has slammed the star in a tell-all book about his time spent with the rapper's company. Click Here For More...
Mark Curry is set to publish Dancing With The Devil, a memoir that details his years at Combs' Bad Boy Records, which the I'll Be Missing You hitmaker founded in 1993.
Curry featured on various remixes and collaborations with the rapper but never released a solo album with the label before he departed in 2005. And now he is accusing the star of bad business practice.
He claims Combs would regularly feature in his artist's songs and videos - but secretly charge them for the privilege.
Rapper Curry writes, "Puff (Combs) has an annoying habit of inserting himself into the songs and videos of all the artists on his label and it's common knowledge that many Bad Boy acts resented him for this.
"Puff charged the artists for his appearance on their records and videos, usually without (them) realising it until they receive their royalty statements. That's when they discovered that their large sums of money had gone to fees which were doubled, tripled and even quadrupled because of Puff's 'special appearances.'
"He charged artists, for example, for having his Bentley in his videos - which he insisted upon - then took tax credit for business use of a car."
The book is slated for release in February (09).

The Source, Hip Hop's former most 'infamous magazine,' is taking a stand against the countless "less tasteful" images of women in Hip Hop according to the New York Times. Click Here For More...
Like its counterparts, The Source has in the past accepted ads that touted skin -- usually female models in various states of undress, today, The Source is taking a stand.
According to co-publisher L. Londell McMillan, the magazine will no longer take "booty ads" for pornographic films, websites or escort services.
"I realize the risk that we’re taking," said Mr. McMillan.
"We don’t want to just glorify the lowest-hanging fruit." "There’s a lot of people that want hip-hop but don’t want some of the filth that some of the business carries with it."
Hoping to transform the often raunchy image of hip hop itself, McMillan says the decision to eliminate sexually driven ads was not an easy decision or stance to take but it had to be done.
The Source, he said, should be able to appeal to the core hip-hop audience, while also being something "you wouldn't mind your kids seeing".

The star made a cameo appearance at the end of the 2008 hit movie, setting up his role as Nick Fury for the upcoming sequel.
He was also tipped to play the comic book character in The Avengers movie alongside Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man and a host of other superhero characters.
But now Jackson admits that talks between his management team and the bosses behind the movie franchise have stalled, claiming that financial problems at comic book giant Marvel Entertainment mean there's a good chance he won't be signed on to either picture.
He tells the Los Angeles Times, "I saw (Iron Man director) Jon Favreau at the Scream Awards and we had a conversation. He said, ‘I hope things are working out for you because we're writing stuff for you’. Then all of a sudden last week I talked to my agents and manager and things aren't really working that well.
"There was a huge kind of negotiation that broke down. I don't know. Maybe I won't be Nick Fury. Maybe somebody else will be Nick Fury or maybe Nick Fury won't be in it. There seems to be an economic crisis in the Marvel Comics world so (they're saying to me), ‘We're not making that deal'.''

New Orleans prosecutors are pushing for rapper C-Murder to be jailed until his April retrial for the 2002 killing of a 16-year old. Click Here For More...
Initially, new presiding Judge Hans Lijeberg ruled that C-Murder, real name Corey Miller, be jailed for violating the rules of his house arrest twice.
Allegedly, C-Murder on two occasions left his home, for a total of 30 minutes each.
According to the Times-Picayune, the judge rescinded the ruling just 10 minutes later, but also issued a warning to the rapper to "conduct himself accordingly" before the retrial.
C-Murder was convicted in 2003 of killing 16-year old Steve Thomas in a Harvey nightclub following a dispute. The teenager was allegedly a big fan of the local rapper.
The courts later granted C-Murder a new trail after evidence revealed prosecutors illegally withheld the criminal history of three eyewitnesses.
Last year, Judge Ellen Kovach defeated the incumbent Judge Martha Sassone using the latter's conduct in the controversial trial as an attack point. C-Murder's house arrest bond is currently set at $500,000.
Since the slaying, C-Murder has released 3 studio albums: The Truest Sh*t I Ever Said (2005), The Tru Story: Continued (2006), and Screamin' 4 Vengeance (2007).
The new murder trial will take place on April 20.

Jermaine Dupri airs out his situation about Def Jam ousting.
"It was a situation where it felt very stagnant to me," says Dupri, who was in charge of several releases including Jagged Edge's "Baby Making Music" and girl friend Janet Jackson album.Click Here For More...
Speaking candidly with Essence after reading blogs and receiving messages from fans concerned about his reported ousting, Dupri says: "I’m a record person, so if I give you a record and you don’t put it out, then basically you’re showing me that it’s really no business. I never got a chance to put the records out. I had Johnta Austin, Ninth Ward and Dondria. I read the blogs and I’m thinking, How can they say that I’m not putting out records when anyone who knows my track record knows I’m about making music?"
Admitting that he "just stopped dealing with (Def Jam) on a daily basis," the So So Def label maker made it clear that he's not bitter, but just wanted to clear the air.
While Dupri's plans from here on out are up in the air, he does have a deal for TAG Records and says he's not in the same position as other people at Def Jam.
"I’m a person who continues to carve out my own way. Instead of watching things happen, I make them happen. If L.A. (Reid) gets fired at Def Jam (he’s 20 years older than me) where is he going to go? Many of the people at the label; if their bosses were to fire them today, they don’t have anything else to do. Their lives are over. I’m not that dude. Life ain’t over for me."

The part of my life that she was a part of, that what was in my book. This movie is not relative to my book other than that there are certain things in there. This is not my movie. Lil Kim is still fuming according to recent reports, in fact she called out Voletta Wallace, the Notorious B.I.G's mom for adjusting the way she looks in the film.
Like Faith, Wallace addressed Kim by telling Essence: "I would love to speak to Lil’ Kim, because I need to ask more about this love relationship because I really didn’t like the way he treated her and I’m praying that that’s not it. Only she can answer those questions. She’s a sweet girl and I didn’t think she deserved to be treated the way he treated her, if that’s the case."
Both Evans and Wallace attended the premiere for 'Notorious' Wednesday to watch not only the portrayal of BIG but their son and grandson CJ in his big screen debut.
CJ, named after his dad, Christopher Wallace Jr, plays his father for part of the movie and left his mom feeling very proud.

ATLANTA (AP) — Rapper T.I. went to court and promptly paid an $8,000 overdue lawyer bill for the mother of two of his sons, telling a judge the debt was an oversight. Click Here For More...
Lawyers for LaShon Dixon asked a Fulton County judge to intervene after the 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, failed to pay in November. He had agreed to the payment as part of an ongoing child support case.
T.I. had a check for the money owed, effectively settling the matter. During the Tuesday hearing, which lasted more than four hours, he told the judge the order to pay got lost when he changed assistants.
"It was just a clerical error, totally innocent," he said. "I will accept full responsibility for that."
The two-time Grammy winner was ordered in September to pay more than $3,000 a month to Dixon — to whom he had been paying about $2,000 per month — as well as the boys' private school tuition, uninsured medical bills and expenses related to their extracurricular activities.
T.I. and Dixon are still negotiating child support and custody of the boys, ages 7 and 8. He also has two sons with his fiancee, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, of the defunct R&B group Xscape.
It is unclear when the judge will issue a final decision. T.I. is scheduled to be sentenced on federal weapons charges in March. He is expected to serve at least a year in federal prison.

The two-door, six-foot bed vehicle was scheduled to debut in North America in 2010.
50 Cent first introduced the G8 sport truck last March at the New York International Auto Show.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Pontiac spokesman Jim Hopson stated the cancellation is part of a restructuring plan within GM due to the recession and the company’s long-term “vision for Pontiac.”
