A Las Vegas jury today (July 21) found Bay Area rapper Mac Minister guilty in the slaying of Kansas City rapper Fat Tone and his friend Jermaine "Cowboy" Akins.

As reported earlier, authorities claimed Fat Tone and Akins were last seen leaving a Las Vegas hotel with Mac Minister in May 2005 and were later found shot dead at a construction site by a security guard.

Authorities claim Mac Minister (born Andre Dow) killed Fat Tone in retaliation for the murder of Bay Area rapper Mac Dre.

Mac Dre was shot and killed in a 2004 drive by shooting in Kansas City and Fat Tone was considered a person of interest in the murder but never a suspect.

According to The Las Vegas Review Journal, Mac Minister was convicted Monday of first-degree murder and now faces life in prison.

Jason Mathis, an associate of Mac Minister, has also been implicated in the slayings and is currently awaiting trial.
