Too $hort is giving back to his community by opening up a full fledge studio in downtown Oakland, on 19th and Franklin. Coincedentally, the building where the studio is located, is owned by Tony Toni Tone bassist Elijah Baker.
$hort has been volunteering some of his time at East Oakland community center Youth UpRising and that's when he came up with the idea of building a studio for the youth. The studio is decorated with gold and platinum plaques, flat screen TVs, hi-end music equipment, pool table and a bar.
The studio is available to the kid's from Youth UpRising each evening after the center close.
